There are many ways to market your website online through various forms of search engine optimization. Now days with the first appearance to social media networks, blogs, forums and social bookmarking, sites it is very easy to do a successful campaign and get down stacks of prize backlinks to your website, thus increasing your page rank.
So what were sledding to do is set up an Internet presence for your new site / company. Here is a list of SN (social networking) sites that we could use to elevate our site / business, remember social networking is not the same as social bookmarking, which we will cover a little later in the article – but each point raised here are simply different forms of search engine optimization.
- Digg
- StumbleUpon
- Squidoo
- Creamaid
- Yedda
- Tweako
- Xanga
So now to make this process a little easier for you to follow, this is a basic run through of what I would do with the above list.
- Submit my site / business to Facebook. Create page, invite friends, start posting.
- Create a twitter account (if you don’t already have one) and start a little tweeting – 4 or 5 tweets should do it.
- Create a page on Squidoo – general write up on your new site.
- Digg and StumbleUpon your Squidoo write up and twitter tweets.
- Submit to more SN’s
Creating back links from blogs is very easy – possibly the easiest way to generate links, you just have to make sure that the blog you are about to comment to is a follow link structure and not a no-follow. Here is a list a follow link blogs that you can post to without having to check (I’ve done the checking)…
- WordPress
- Joomla
- Blogspot
- Blogster
- Blogetry
- Tumblr
All you have to do is find a blog in your category i.e. if you have a web development site that you wish to promote you would search for a web development blog and comment on a specific post to do with web development. In the name section you would place your keywords i.e. Web Development and then enter your site URL and comment a crucial comment to the blog post. Sometimes your comments will be moderated so you will need to have a relevant comment.
Social Bookmarking (SB) sites are a great way to generate links to your new site; it is one of the best forms of search engine optimisation or search engine selling or seo as some people know it; it’s also pretty easy as well. Some bookmarking sites require you to login and register but others don’t. You just have to see how lucky you are, and most SB sites have very good page ranks so linking to them is a good thing.
To submit to a social bookmarking site all you have to do is go to one of the next sites (there are hundreds online, these are just my favorite) and submit a link to your site and sometimes a shortsighted description.
